June 13- July 7, 2013

RETURNS TO YANA, ROCKAWAY BEACH, NYC
July 3- ongoing, 2014

The project, Wow Rockaway, began on my volunteer trip into Rockaway Beach to help family and friends deal with the cleanup and challenges of life after a storm with few resources. I arrived on November 16, 2012 only 18 days after Hurricane Sandy devastated the costal communities of New York and New Jersey. What transpired was a personal journey captured through my lens in the wake of the storm.  I created a book Wow Rockaway as a gift and a record of those fragile days after the storm for my family.  Stories to Remember is a traveling exhibit that includes photographs from Wow Rockaway and other images captured on my return trip in December 2012.
